ASBestos roof removal in Salisbury

MD Roofing were asked to remove an old asbestos-cement roof on a property in Salisbury and replace it with a modern, safe roofing system. The existing sheets were aging, brittle and no longer providing reliable weather protection, so a full removal and replacement was the safest and most sensible option.

Because asbestos-containing materials have to be handled correctly, we planned the job carefully from the start. The removal was carried out in line with current regulations, using the proper PPE, controlled lifting and safe waste handling. The area was protected so there was no risk to the occupants or neighbouring properties, and the material was disposed of through the correct, licensed route.

Once the asbestos roof was removed, we prepared the structure for the new covering. We installed new breathable underlay and treated timbers where required, then fitted a modern roofing system specified for the building. This gave the property a cleaner, smarter appearance and, more importantly, a long-term, low-maintenance roof without the risks and limitations of asbestos.
